Dear all, as promised, we just uploaded the files with several presentations given at the summer school. You will find them in the “Resources” page. We are in late because unfortunately the computer, in which the files with all presentations were initially saved, has been stolen. We will upload the missing presentations upon reception. Best wishes.

Dear participants,
just a quick post to let you know that tomorrow morning there will be indications (both outside and inside the Miramar Palace) to guide you to the hall where the lectures will take place. We will be waiting for you from 9h am just before the hall to give you the badges and material. See you tomorrow!
Diet

During the school, the lunches will be served in the Miramar palace to all participants. To plan the menus, we need to know whether some people have specific restrictions on their diet. Please let us know by sending an email to Matteo Mossio by Friday 18 morning.
Thank you!
Groups

Dear participants,
The organisation committee has now created the 5 groups, which will work separately during the first part of the afternoons (“Group workshops”, 14h30-16h, see the programme). The groups are supposed to discuss the content of the three lectures given in the mornings, following (at least to some extent) the list of questions provided for each day as a guideline. The outcome of the group workshops will then be discussed in the general discussion during the second part of the afternoon. More details about the functioning of the afternoons will be given at the beginning of the school.
Please find below the composition of the groups. You may be willing to contact the other members of the group and start a preliminary discussion before the beginning of the school. Please use the post to leave comments (and your email addresses). In principle, all participants should be in a group. If someone who has registered to the school would not appear, please contact Matteo by email.
See you in a week!

Reading material
June 9th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink
Dear participants,
We just published a new page “Resources” in the school’s webpage (http://www.lifecognitionschool.eu/resources/), in which you will find the reading material to prepare the summer school. In particular, you will find:
– Titles and abstracts of the lectures;
– For each day, a list of questions which will guide the discussion during the group workshops. We suggest you to bear them in mind when reading the papers, in order to adequately prepare the workshops.
– A list of references, with a selection of relevant paper.
When available, the references include the links from which the papers can be downloaded. In the other cases, you will be informed by email on how to get the papers.
Enjoy the reading!
Accommodation
May 18th, 2010 § 8 comments § permalink
Dear Participants,
Some of you are currently looking for alternative accommodations that would be cheaper than the one proposed by the school. As we wrote in previous emails, you can look at this webpage (http://www.sansebastianturismo.com/info/sansebastianturismo/Alojamientos.nsf/frmWeb?ReadForm&id=T&idioma=ing) to find various solutions.
In addition, you can also leave comments to this post if you are looking for people to share an accommodation that you have found elsewhere, or to whatever other issue concerning the housing during the school.
Matteo
